Shake Your Stress Away

Shaking the body is another quick and easy way to release the stress and muscular tension stored in the body. (Wild animals all do it and so can you!)

To get started, find a private and comfortable space where you can let loose your inhibitions and shake off your tension.

Once you’re settled in, start with some easy stretches – spinal twists, pelvic rocking, as well as neck, shoulders and wrists rolls. You can also use your hands or any other body part to massage the areas that feel tight.

When you’ve finished your stretches, proceed to shake out your whole body – especially the parts of you that feel extra tense.

Jump, kick and swing your arms around. Surrender to the shaking. Let out any sounds that want to come out. If it helps, play some music that you like and can help you turn off your mind for a moment.

You’ll be amazed how much better you feel.
