Ontario Newsroom | New Initiative is Great News for Mental Health Care

This March, the Ontario government made an announcement that will have a lasting, positive impact on the way Ontarians access mental health support. The "Roadmap to Wellness" is a $3.8 billion, 10-year initiative that will create new services and expand programs for mental health – all resulting in making care and support much more accessible for all.

The government has also announced a $20 million investment in 2020 to launch Mindability, which will provide cognitive behavioural therapy to Ontarians. This is a very exciting announcement – one that aligns well with the MindBeacon mission of making evidence-based mental health care accessible for all. Currently, we are engaged in several public sector partnerships with hospitals, employers, campuses, and first responders; this is an exciting time for mental health care in Canada, and we are truly looking forward to further collaborations and making greater strides towards our vision.
